Field & Farmer’s Market Crew Member
ABOUT THE FARM
Everwild Farm is a 1.25 acre bio-intensive market garden located in Ambler, PA. We sell all of our organically grown veggies and flowers at local farmers markets and to local farm to table restaurants between Ambler and Philadelphia. The foundation of the farm is centered around providing the most nutritionally rich and beautiful veggies increasing the vibrancy of the native ecosystems and reestablishing healthy soils. We are looking for someone that shares a similar dream and passion for rewriting the future of food.
ABOUT YOU
Applicants must desire to work on a small-scale, highly productive vegetable farm. We are looking for those who are serious and passionate about farming as a career and believe this to be an incredible opportunity to make a living from farming. You must be in good physical and mental condition, with the ability to regularly lift up to 50+ pounds and work consecutive 8+ hour days on your feet, using your body. We will be working in all weather conditions; sometimes this means working in the rain and wind, other times it means hot, dry, and sunny — you will work in it all. Ideal candidates are passionate about food, vegetables, nature, and working hard. You must be able to work efficiently alone and in a team as your days will almost always encompass both types of work. Repetitive tasks cannot drive you crazy. We hustle and work hard. To do well on our farm, you must work quickly and efficiently, be detail oriented, communicate thoughtfully and take pride in the farm’s success. We need you to be able to listen, follow directions, and learn. We want our employees to see the beauty and importance of our work. Farming is not easy, but it is overwhelmingly beautiful and relentlessly gratifying.
